Antique German Arts and Crafts Paste Pendant in Silver and Gold

This pendant is a sunrise on a clear day, sitting by a lake. It’s a celestial interpretation of seeing the crescent moon in the sky at noon, next to the sun, set against a soft blue atmosphere. It’s that amazing feeling of being so small and yet so big when stargazing or cloud watching. It’s that sense of infinity when attempting to count the stars in the Milky Way. It’s beautiful. It’s comforting.   This antique German pendant was handcrafted around 1910. It features a large rectangle paste stone in the center that measures 17.8 x 15 x 8.5 mm; it’s a lovely clear sky blue shade and is set in sterling silver. This piece is decorated with silver spirals and 14 karat gold accents. Its overall measurements are 42.7 x 28.2 x 9.5 mm. It weighs 13 grams and has been acid tested. A maker’s mark can be found on the back, it contains both a ‘w’ and an ‘L’.  This wonderful pendant is out of this world!
