Art Deco Blue Zircon Diamond Ring Platinum
You know how every once in a while a color that you really love will come into fashion and you just have to buy every sweater and jacket and tee that you can while that color is hot because you know that it might not come around again for a while? Well, this is my color. Not turquoise blue, Zircon blue. The color of my favorite cashmere sweater, the color of the water off St. Barth's on a clear sunny day.I love a Blue Zircon, any blue zircon, but I fell especially hard for this stunning example. Right up there next to diamonds, blue zircons are one of the most sparkly of gems, but rarely do I see a stone with this depth of color, so bright and rich it makes you reach for your sunglasses. This zircon measures 15.2x10.2x7.6 mm and weighs about 11 carats.Set in platinum, with a triplet of diamonds on each shoulder, this Art Deco ring likely dates to about 1920. The ring is a size 7.25 and could be re-sized, although be certain that no heat is applied directly to the stone or it will loose
