Art Nouveau Murrle Bennett & Co. Opal Gold Pin

A billowy scarf, a dress with an impossible neckline, a jaunty hat, a silk neck tie; these are just a few of the things that would be greatly improved upon by adding a pin as fabulous as this one. Hand crafted by one of my favorite firms, Murrle Bennett & Co., this wonderful pin features a lovely heart shaped opal at the top and a smaller round opal at the termination of what looks like a stylized G-clef. The pin is made in 9 karat gold with a rosy pink color, it is 47.5 mm from top to bottom and 12mm across at the widest point. Made in England around 1900-1910. This pin is marked ‘9ct’, ‘Patent’ and with the ‘MB&Co’ makers mark, it weighs 2.2 grams. This versatile pin would make a great gift for the one that you love!
