Unusual English Victorian 15k Gold Locket Pendant

When I buy jewelry, I first pick out all the things that I like and make a pile. The I get prices, starting with the things that I want the most and working my way down until I have just a few things left, and I usually pass on the bottom few. This piece was right at the top of my list on my last trip to London, I feel truly madly and deeply for this unusual and beautifully crafted locket.This locket is just wonderful with its not-so-secretive XO motif, it is a golden and permanent expression of Love. Hand crafted in 15 karat gold, this fantastic locket is marked with an English Registration mark, sometimes called a Kite mark. This mark is a bit cryptic, but in this case it translates to tell us that this locket was registered in April of 1869. This wonderfully three dimensional locket has two frames to hold your photos, it opens easily and closes with a satisfying little snap.
