Gamza, a native grape of Bulgaria, is finally receiving its proper shine. Bononia Estate is named after an ancient Roman fortress located in the valley of the Danube River, Bononia (present-day Vidin), and is known as one of the first places on the continent to start growing grapes for wine-making. A modern take on this grape and produced in a batch of only 2400 bottles, this is a juicy, fresh, and fruity wine with a strong varietal expression. It's balanced, structured, and suitable for aging for a few more years. We recommend pairing with hard cheeses, smoked meat, and barbecue.
