LOCAL TRAFFIC ONLY - Book

Martin Charlot’s mural “Local Traffic Only” was unveiled at the Kaneohe McDonald’s just over 40 years ago. He chose most of his models from Waiahole Valley and the surrounding Windward communities. The 5’ x 24’ mural has been pulled from the archives and is now displayed again at the Kaneohe Windward Mall for everyone to share in the memories of Martin, his models (friends), and a walk down memory lane of what life was like in ‘da old days’. Martin Charlot’s hard cover book of Local Traffic Only, published by Watermark Publishing in 2007, is a detailed commentary of the more than 100 vignettes depicted on his mural. A full copy of the mural is included in the book as a fold out.
