[48] pp. Maximum Rocknroll (MRR) was founded in 1982 by Tim Yohannan, Jeff Bale, Ruth Schwartz, Jello Biafra, Mickey Creep, et al. MRR Vol. 1 No. 1 is the stated premier issue of the fanzine, but previous to this issue, MRR Vol. 1 No. 0 was published as the newsprint booklet insert included in the Calipunk/Hardcore compilation double-LP, "Not So Quiet on the Western Front," that featured each of the forty-seven different bands whose songs appeared on the album.
