Action Bar - citrus, plum, and white wine glycerine soap by Wary Meyers
Inspired by both the “Action Painters” of the 1950’s (think Jackson Pollock), and the action of making soap, which often results in interesting messes. Our new “Action Bars" are drizzled and splattered with colored soap on a canvas-colored base. We wanted the scent to be reminiscent of a painter’s studio- that linseed oil smell- but more palatable. So there is a tiny bit of that, but more citrus and lemon. Also notes of plum, and white wine- just enough to make you think there’s a gallery-opening-plastic-cup of Pinot nearby. They lather up perfectly and luxuriantly, the same as our other soaps. They’re also lumpy on the top, so when you’re washing your hands it’s almost like a tactile version of ASMR. The card on the back is a laid out like an art gallery information card, so, if you’d like to hang it on your wall you can display the card alongside. A spirited, creative soap, something to put out when company comes over. It reminds me of something Willem de Kooning said about Henri M
