Altered Magazine Pages by Vickie Echols

Date + Time: March 14th and 15th, 9am-3pm     *This is a 2-Day ClassLocation: Welburn Gourd FarmLevel: All levels For this class you will discover ways of altering magazine pages to create amazing works of art with very little effort. The altered pages can be decoupaged onto gourd shards to make your own stone centers for pine needle coiling or cover an entire gourd. You will learn how to build pedestal pieces that are waiting to be covered with these interesting altered pages. This is a great technique to use for old or damaged gourds. We will learn what type of resin works best for round objects and how to prep your piece for weaving or anything you can imagine. Day 1: Demo on making the paper and applying resin Day 2: Sand the drips of resin and resin the inside.
