Cupboard by D2E, 1991. Odd sizing?

A simple floor standing cupboard with a working drawer but non-working cupboard.  The left side of the cupboard has lighter marking which I don't know if it is the natural wood pattern or where the stain didn't take so well.  Clearly signed D2E for Dolores and Don Egner in 1991. I initially thought that this was 1:24, but a 2" height makes it 48" in real life, which seems awfully tall.  If it were 1:12 scale that would make it 2' in real life, which is rather short.... 1 3/4 inches (4.4 cm) wide, 15/16 inch (2.4 cm) deep and 2 inches (5.1 cm) tall.
