Wasp paper art

This unique piece of art features wasp paper! The colours and banding are natural and come from different kinds of wood that the paper wasps use to build their nest.  Each piece is unique. This nest blew down in a winter storm and I sterilized and preserved the paper before mounting it on an archival backing.  The frame is custom, painted wood.  1 7/16 inches (3.6 cm) wide, 1 11/16 inches (4.3 cm) tall.
