Mob Cap. Say it out loud: Mob, not Mop. Mop? Quelle horreur! This frilly little bit of something was born at the magical meeting of Faerie and Wencherie. Once upon a time, ladies whose virtue did not weigh heavily upon them were whimisically nicknamed "Mab," a reference to the Queen of the Faeries. It seems they favored this flirtatious little number while entertaining. Like many scandalous things, the Mob Cap gained respectability with age; but we wonder: Does it ever dream of its wilder days?
