Canaveral White Shrimp

A perfect introduction to Florida shrimp! Canaveral whites are ideal for sautéing or stir-frying. They normally spawn off brackish estuaries and eventually make their way to deeper ocean depths of up to 70 feet. They have a grayish-white color but can be identified by the slight bright yellow coloring on the tip of their tails. They are often caught year-round throughout Florida with seasonal peaks in the Fall. Slightly more tender than other shrimp, their shells are soft and easy to peel.
