This bright red bird is quite romantic. During courtship, the male cardinal will feed his mate seeds. This is called “beak-to-beak.” Isn’t that sweet? Not only that, cardinals are state birds, sport team mascots, and one of the most popular birds at the bird feeder. These shiny little sand-cast sculptures are created out of old car parts and scrap aluminum collected from garbage dumps in Nicaragua. Using an age-old sand-casting process, the metal is melted down, cast, and then polished to perfection. This cute recycled cardinal is bound to create a conversation wherever it is displayed. Approximate size: 5-6". Fair trade.
