White Rabbit Balsa Ornament

The white rabbit lacks melanin, and is therefore albino. Most rabbit breeds have been bred intentionally with the albino gene so that people can have them as pets. White rabbits are not safe in the wild as they cannot camoflage themselves in nature. Made out of sustainably harvested balsa wood, these lightweight ornaments are hand-carved and then painted with non-toxic acrylic paint by a cooperative of skilled artisans on Isla Solentiname, Nicaragua. Approximate size: 5" x 2".
