Acid dyes are professional quality dyes that will stay vibrant even after washing and are safe and non-toxic. Most of my yarn bases are superwash but I still recommend hand washing items with wool wash or gentle soap in cool water. I take special care to make sure all items are thoroughly rinsed and the water is clear but there is still a chance some color bleeding could occur. Some dyes are worse about this than others. Throwing a color catcher sheet in with the water when blocking or washing should help. I pho
