West African Dance Class

West African Dance at Downtown Fort Lauderdale.   Join us Nzingah for a cultural dance experience, this class will teach you the fundamentals of traditional West African dance with an emphasis on an understanding of the accompanying drum rhythms. Classes start with a thorough warm-up, followed by a sequence of movements across the floor.    Instructor: Many consider Nzingah a Renaissance artist, as she seems to be talentedin virtually all disciplines of the arts. She is an award-winning visual artist,a classically trained pianist, a published poet, and an African andHaitian Folklore dancer. Thanks to her excellence in the arts she began to teachwhile in middle school and has continued her work as a teaching artist into heradulthood. Her commitment to reaching children and adults through the arts has allowed her to work with well over two hundred thousand students, in south Florida and nationally.
