Antique Anchor Brand Folding Bench Wringer by Lovell Mfg
Antique Anchor brand folding bench wringer. Manufactured by the Lovell mfg co during the 1910's, this wooden bench wringer has two fold down sides. This model number 770B wrangle retains its original wooden slatted pale (which currently has a glass cut cover over it for use as a table). In almost untouched condition this fully articulated vintage wrangle is not only an aesthetically beautiful piece of household Americana but is fully functional as it was originally intended. This vintage wringer and double stand is stamped with the Good Housekeeping Institute testing approval and brand number 341 which helps date this piece to early 1911. The first installment of the "Approved" list appeared in the December 1909 issue and featured the inauguration of the "Good Housekeeping Tested and Approved Seal by the Good Housekeeping Institute conducted by Good Housekeeping Magazine."
