The second of two Y&T releases in the 1990s. Endangered Species was written and recorded over 1996 through 1997, during the Grunge era. During this time, the music of many artists from the 60s through the 80s were not being paid attention to by the music industry. This made for a frustrating time for hundreds of popular rock artists, hence the name of this record. These songs reflect that feeling and also the wide open creativity given to the band with no outside label pressures.
