Product Description: A lovely octagonal English Transferware Platter in the Medina pattern by Jacob Furnival. Likely from the mid-1800s, it features an unusual grayish-purple transfer of what appears to depict a Turkish scene on a partially cloudy day featuring a fountain, a mosque and a river flowing through. Eight cartouches with floral encircle the edge which are snapshots of the featured scene. Overall measuring 13 ½” long, with a 10” inner length, it’s a platter that was once ideal for smaller portions, cupcakes or deserts. For home décor it’s a nice size to display if your short on space, display smalls or use as an under tray for your bedroom vanity accessories.
