Artemis’ Moon Tea
Artemis’ Moon Tea. I’m so pleased to bring back this annual offering of my Samhain ritual tea named after the goddess Artemis, goddess of the moon, wild things, and the queen of witches. She is also the namesake of Mugwort, Artemisia vulgaris. This tea starts with wild Mugwort, but over the years I’ve come to learn to pair Rose with Mugwort. I heard a message one day in my mind, “Add Rose. Mugwort needs Rose to soften its edges.” All the going deep that Mugwort brings needs to be balanced by the love that Rose brings. They needed each other to do what it is they’ll do this season. After all, truth is best when wrapped in love. This is a tea that calms the body and the mind. It prepares us for rest, ritual, divination, and dream work. Mugwort is a dark and beautiful plant that quiets the noise so we can be present for meditative and magick work.
