Hawaiian lei are a symbol of love and greetings, in other words Aloha. Akalei is Hawaiian for “glass reflection” which has inspired beautiful jewelry using beads, pearls, gem stones, fibers and shell. Each necklace, bracelet and accessory is made using the ancient Japanese braiding technique called kumihimo.
