This Eagle Very Rare Bourbon has been matured for 20 years, twice as long as the popular Eagle Rare, which is aged for only 10 years. This smooth and magnificent bourbon was crafted from Mash Bill #1, like other great spirits such as Buffalo Trace, E.H. Taylor, and George T. Stagg. It is a sour mash of corn, rye, and malted barley, which has a lower content of rye, than mash bill #2. It is smooth and rich with prominent notes of caramelized dark fruits on the nose mingled with slight hints of savory caramel and butterscotch on the palate. The finish comes quickly and is inviting with lingering notes of vanilla and oak.
