Blue Plumflower Bowls / Set of Three Nesting Bowls #34

Set of three hand painted plumflower bowls with blue plumflowers. Perfect for serving dips and condiments. Bowls nest comfortably. Details: largest bowl: 4 inches wide, 2 1/2 inches tall middle bowl:  3 1/4 inches wide, 2 inches tall smallest bowl: 3  inches wide, 2 inches tall ~ Clear glaze ~ Food, dishwasher, and microwave safe ~ Porcelain clay My process: I use the potter's wheel to create these little bowls and they are thrown off the hump, a much larger ball of clay than is needed. I make the bowls one day and trim the bottom foot the next day. I then let it dry completely and then paint blue plumflowers and a trailing vine on it. I have been painting this design since I returned to pottery about 12 years ago. It's been fun and interesting to see it evolve into its present rendition. A clear glaze finishes the cup, inside and out and is fired in an electric oxidation kiln.
