Faceted, hand painted yunomi with red cherry blossoms. Doubles well as an espresso cup, wine cup, or Turkish coffee cup. Details: ~ Apx. 3.5 inches tall and 2.5 inches wide at the rim ~ Capacity: holds 6 oz  ~ Wavy rim ~ Clear glaze inside / unglazed and sanded silky smooth outside ~ Food, dishwasher, and microwave safe ~ Porcelain clay My process: Shiny inside and out!  I use the potter's wheel to create this yunomi cup. The next day the pot is turned upside down and the bottom trimmed. One the pot is bone dry, I sponge it clean inside and out then paint cherry blossoms on the outside and add a red slip to the inside. Then it goes into the kiln for its first firing. A clear glaze finishes the yunomi cup inside and out. Made from high fire grolleg porcelain and fired in an electric oxidation kiln.
