Red Plumflower Jar (Free Shipping)

Hand painted jar with red plumflowers, the perfect container for precious items or even spices. Details: ~ 3" tall x 3.5" wide ~ Clear glaze inside & outside ~ Food, dishwasher, and microwave safe ~ Porcelain clay My process: I use the potter's wheel to create this jar. I make the bottom and the lid the same day, then trim the next and hope they fit perfectly (seriously...).  I let it dry completely and then paint red plumflowers and a trailing vine on it. Recently I have modified this design and changed the vine from green to black and added bigger flower buds. The simplification of the colors really makes the design pop. I started this design over 12 years ago. It's been fun and interesting to see it evolve into its present rendition. A clear glaze finishes the jar the inside and outside. Made from high fire grolleg porcelain and fired in an electric oxidation kiln.
