I make the bottle and the cups one day and then trim them the next day. I let it dry completely and then paint red plumflowers and a trailing vine on it.  Recently I have modified this design and changed the vine from green to black and added bigger flower buds. The simplification of the colors really makes the design pop. I started this design over 12 years ago. It's been fun and interesting to see it evolve into its present rendition. A red slip is applied to the inside of the bottle and cups, then a clear glaze finishes the set i inside and outside. Made from high fire grolleg porcelain and fired in an electric oxidation kiln.
