Tulip Sake Cup in Orange #13

Hand painted tulip sake cup with orange tulips.   Details: apx. 2 inches tall and 2 1/4 inches wide at the rim holds 2 oz  ~ Clear glaze ~ Food, dishwasher, and microwave safe ~ Porcelain clay My process: I use the potter's wheel to create this sake cup. I generally make the cup one day and trim the bottom foot the next day. I then let it dry completely and then apply a red slip to the inside and paint orange tulips on the outside.  This design was inspired by the tulips on a prayer rug that was a gift from a friend. . A clear glaze finishes the cup, inside and out and it is fired in an electric oxidation kiln.
