Yunomi / Tumber in Orange Tulips #62

Yunomi / Tumbler Hand painted with orange tulips. *** on sale, the glaze around the outside rim is a little thick Details: apx. 3 3/4 inches tall and 3 inches wide at the rim holds 13 oz  ~ Clear glaze ~ Red inside ~ Food, dishwasher, and microwave safe My process: I use the potter's wheel to create this tumbler. I generally make the form one day and trim the bottom foot the next day.  I then let it dry completely and then I apply a white underglaze to the outside and purple underglaze on the inside. This gives me a vibrant canvas to paint orange tulips on.  This is a new design for me, inspired by the tulips on my prayer rug. A clear glaze finishes the tumbler, inside and out and is fired in an electric oxidation kiln.
