Yunomi / Tumbler in White Cherry Blossom #28

Large Yunomi / Tumbler Hand painted with white cherry blossoms. Has some slight unevenness in glaze. Details: apx. 4 3/4 inches tall and 3 inches wide at the rim holds 12 oz  ~ Clear glaze ~ Food, dishwasher, and microwave safe My process: I use the potter's wheel to create this tumbler. I generally make the form one day and trim the bottom foot the next day.  I then let it dry completely and then I apply a red slip to the inside and outside. This gives me a vibrant red canvas to paint white cherry blossoms on. I've been on a long multi- year journey with this design to get the cherry blossoms perfected. A clear glaze finishes the tumbler, inside and out and is fired in an electric oxidation kiln.
