This stunning bronze sculpture originally cast by sculptor Frank Dobson (British, 1886-1963) depicts a seated Grecian woman holding a comedy and tragedy mask.    The Evening Standard Awards started in 1955. They are the United Kingdom's oldest theatrical awards ceremony for extraordinary achievements in London Theater and is organized by the Evening Standard newspaper. Each award is a modeled bronze statuette like this one.     It is mounted onto a sculpted marble base. The award measures approximately 5" long, 4" wide, 14" high overall.
