Pre-Columbian Teotihuacan Stone Standing Figure

 Circa. 400 to 700 AD Carved gray stone figure in tunic and double strand necklace, he holds his arms out front of body. He is also adorned wearing a wide tiered headdress with feather-like protrusion.  Well carved broad relief facial features with triangular nose, full lips slightly pursed and ear flanges. Surface covered with orpiment sulfate, a natural yellow mineral pigment.  A powerful expressive example. Condition: Good, as found; restoration to nose and minor losses to feet.
