6 Week Beginning Pottery Immersion Class - Wednesdays 5:30-7:30pm

Please read to the end as guidelines have changed. This 6 week class is a beginner pottery class. You will learn foundational wheel-throwing and hand building techniques Understand the clay process from wet to finished Create multiple functional and decorative pieces Gain basic glazing and firing knowledge This class runs from November 5th to December 17th skipping December 10th for drying/firing. This class is on Wednesday evenings from 5:30-7:30pm. (Ages 13+ only) Cost of the class includes one bag of clay, use of wheels, tools, and glazes, instruction, and kiln firing. Week 1: Basic throwing techniques and learning the wheel. Week 2: Trimming your pieces on the wheel. Learning to pull handles along with techniques to attach pieces. Week 3: More practice on the wheel. Week 4: Continuing trimming and throwing on the wheel  Week 5: Learning basics of hand-building. Week 6: Learn glazing techniques as you glaze your own pieces PLEASE BE AWARE: I am no longer offering make-up classes.
