6 Week Beginner Pottery Class - Tuesdays 5:30-7:30pm

Please read to the end as guidelines have changed. This 6 week class is a beginner pottery class. You will learn foundational wheel-throwing and hand building techniques Understand the clay process from wet to finished Create multiple functional and decorative pieces Gain basic glazing and firing knowledge This class runs on Tuesdays from November 4th to December 16th skipping December 9th to allow for drying and firing times. This class is from 5:30-7:30pm on Tuesdays.  (Ages 13+ only) Cost of the class includes one bag of clay, use of wheels, tools, and glazes, instruction, and kiln firing. Week 1: Throwing techniques and throwing on the wheel. Week 2: Trimming your pieces on the wheel. Closed forms. Week 3: More practice with new techniques on the wheel. Week 4: Continuing trimming and throwing on the wheel  Week 5: Hand-building Week 6: Learn glazing techniques and glazing your own pieces.
