EAPG Victorian Flint Glass Relish Dish with a Tiger and Children 19th Century
A fun and whimsical Victorian glass serving dish with a tiger being hunted by little children. The flint glass molded serving dish has a design of small children hunting deer, fishing in a boat and carrying spears. A tiger is running in the central well. There are horseshoes with child busts by the handles on both ends. The dish has a shallow square foot with no hallmarks or labels. The glass has bubbles within from manufacture. MEASUREMENTS 10 3/8” (26.2 cm) long x 5 7/8” (14.9 cm) wide x 1 ¾” (4.4 cm) tall. Weighs 14.2 oz (405 g) CONDITION There is a small chip on the inside edge of the mouth rim. There are no other cracks, chips, or breaks. There is some wear to the interior. A very old, fun, whimsical dish of children that will add to your EAPG collection or you can use to serve pickles or a relish.
