A realistic stoneware likeness of a bulldog made in England that was designed to hold your matches.   A heavy ceramic has been molded in the shape of a bulldog with brown glaze to the eyes, muzzle, and ears. The interior well is also glazed in brown. The base is flat with a mold line and no glaze. The piece feels smooth and looks shiny. It has a nice heavy and smooth feel when held.   MEASUREMENTS   2 5/8” (6.7 cm) deep x 2 ¼” (5.7 cm) wide x 1 ¾” (4.4 cm) tall. Weighs 5.6 oz (160 g)   CONDITION   The match holder is in very good condition, with no breaks, chips, cracks, or repairs. There are a couple of small glaze flaws under one of his ears.   What’s more English than an antique match holder with the shape of an English bulldog?
