with Michele Fan Saturday, March 21, 10-2pm | Prospect Heights This workshop will focus on using clay slabs as a canvas and developing techniques for creating delicate, detailed work. It is ideal for students who are already comfortable with handbuilding and are looking to refine their skills, build with greater control, and achieve more intentional forms. Participants will learn essential techniques for crafting intricate clay flowers, including shaping petals with molds and piping bags, adding fine details, and creating textures. Students will also learn how to construct picture frames from slabs and build floral compositions directly onto them. Each participant will have the opportunity to create an 8’’ x 10’’ x 3’’ clay picture. The bisque firing of one piece is included in the workshop fee. Students may schedule a return visit to glaze their work by appointment. Skill Level: Students should have taken one semester long handbuilding class or have similar experience. The workshop wi
