Wizard Glaze | Meltdown
Use Meltdown to create thick, viscous drips! This glaze is highly mobile and is perfect for creating long, vertical droplets and pools of gloop at the base. Due to its volatile nature, please use Kiln Dust (60mesh silica sand). Sprinkle the silica sand on the kiln shelf and any gloopy matter that reaches the bottom will simply land on top of the sand. No kiln disasters, no scraping, no chipped ceramics. Meltdown is the only glaze that must be used with Kiln Dust. How to ApplyOpen jar and pour off any excess liquid. Meltdown functions better with minimum water content Shake or mix Meltdown. Meltdown works best with a pudding or frosting consistency. If you want to dry out your gloop you can leave the lid off overnight. Apply underglaze to your ceramics. Meltdown sticks best to an underglaze base. It is not recommended to apply gloop to an active glaze because it will melt into the other glaze. Apply Meltdown to underglazed ceramics. Meltdown is best for achieving long viscous drips. T
