St. Gianna Molla Holding Two of Her Children – Exclusive Photo Restoration – Catholic Art Print – Catholic Gift
Most of the photos in our photo restoration series are black and white, but how could we take the colors out of this one? The colors are joyful! They celebrate life and family, and Gianna is the Pro-Life Saint! Gianna Beretta Molla (1922-1962) was a pediatrician and mother of four. Complications in her fourth pregnancy forced her to choose between having an operation that would save her life but risk the life of her unborn child, or foregoing the operation and risk her own life. With Christlike love, she chose the latter, and ended up sacrificing herself for her child. This picture was taken in the Alps while the family was on vacation. We think it's from the late summer of 1958. We haven't confirmed it, but we think that is her first child on her right, Pierluigi, born in November 1956 (working on Gianna's sunglasses), and her second child on her left, Maria Zita, born in December 1957 (who has her eyes on those sunglasses). We love children and happy families. Other sellers offer thi
