Quite scarce vintage roughly 0.75 x 4-inch purple fountain pen signature, ideal for matting, clipped from a tan autograph album page, acquired in-person in the 1930s. In good condition. Handsome leading man Franchot Tone, who succumbed to cancer far too young, was Oscar-nominated for his standout performance in Mutiny on the Bounty (1935). In the 1960s, he was a busy television actor, unforgettable on the classic episode of "The Twilight Zone" entitled "The Silence" (1961).
