Jesus carries the Cross, with a sorrowful expression. Laden with mankind’s suffering, after being humiliated and beaten, the Son of God adjures to go to the cross. All iniquities have fallen upon him, and he carries them with extreme suffering.  There are no other figures near him; only the landscape, which seems reminiscent of a modern city. The colors concentrate on yellow and ochre tones, except for the blue of the sky and the green of what may look like a portcullis.
