This is very nice eggplant shape trinket box made out of Purpleheart (Peltogyne paniculata) with Verawood (Bulnesia sarmientoi) cap. This is the common variety of eggplant with purple fruits. I am not sure whether it's Chinese or Japanese eggplant as I am always confused between the two. It's so fun to look at my collection of colorful eggplants as a group!
