1918 Gibson F4

1918 Gibson F4 in very good, original vintage condition. There are the normal scrapes and dings associated with virtually any 100+ year old instrument that has been played but nothing that takes away from it's overall beauty. There are some repaired (glued) side separations, which is pretty common for this era. There are two tightly repaired cracks, one on the top and one on the side under the "horn". Perfect top arch with no sinkage. We sold this instrument 12 years ago to the customer we got it back from and it is in the identical condition of which it was originally sold, so all repairs have proven to be 100% stable. This is a beautiful sounding example with just enough of that iconic "tubby" low end present to be charming and useful, but not cover up the strong mid range and trebles. A wonderfully seasoned tone that can only be found in vintage instruments with lots of time and playing under their belt. This one has had a recent set up and plays easily in all positions with no issu
