1873 LD Crown Size Republic of Peru Silver Coin One or Un Sol Roman I NGC MS 62

Description: A beautiful uncirculated Peruvian silver crown size coin. This is the 1873 LD with Roman 1 Republic of Peru One or Un Sol silver coin. The coin depicts Liberty seated and facing right. Liberty is holding a staff in one hand and a shield that is sitting on the ground in the other on the obverse. The obverse has the legend "FIRM E FILIZ POR LA UNION" surrounding the seated liberty and the denomination below her. The reverse has the Peruvian arms within springs and having a small wreath above it. The reverse has the legend "REPUBLICA PERUANA LIMA 9 DECIMOS FINO L.D. 1873" along the edge. This is a large and heavy coin with a reeded edge. It is graded Mint State MS 62 by NGC and comes in a plastic holder so labeled.
