1900 Gold Coin from Great Britain Sovereign Queen Victoria Bust Left KM 785 AU
Description: A nice about uncirculated or much better 1900 gold coin from the United Kingdom. This is a sovereign coin having a reeded edge and displays Queen Victoria's bust facing left on the obverse. The reverse displays the image of Saint George on horseback slaying the dragon with the date 1900 in exergue. The coin has the words "VICTORIA. DEI.GRA. BRITT. REGINA.FID.DEF. IND: IMP:" surrounding the queen's bust along the edge of the obverse. This is KM 785 weighing ~8 grams of 0.917 purity gold which translates to 0.2355 oz AGW. The coin measures about 22 mm in diameter. A beautiful coin with nice clear fields and nice eye appeal. The fields are clear and the coin shows minimum wear, but the coin has dings along the edge most pronounced is the one at 4 o'clock on the obverse. Be that as it may, this is a nice coin deserving a spot in your collection of British coins. Please carefully review the photos provided as they are part and parcel of our description.
