Description: A beautiful silver papal annual medal commemorating the inauguration of the new Calabrian Seminary in Rome. This is an architectural medal with the rendition of the building of the seminary on the reverse. This annual medal represents the year 10 medal of pope Pius 10 papacy and is listed in Piero De Luca's book as number 29 with a rarity index "R". The obverse, which is signed Bianchi, depicts the bust of the pope Pius X facing left with the legend "PIVS.X.PONT.MAX.ANNO.X" along the edge. The obverse has the inscription "BIANCHI" below the pontiff's bust. The reverse shows the image of the large new building of the seminary. There is the inscription "ALUMINS ECCLESIAR CALABRIAE INSTITUENDIS" which translates to "Founding of the seat for Calabrian disciples" in two lines above the building and the inscription "A.MCMXIII" (Year 1913) in exergue.
