Description: A beautiful very fine banknote from Hong Kong. This is the Government of Hong Kong no date 1936 one dollar currency note. The banknote which was issued by the "Government of Hong Kong" and printed by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co. has a purple design on multicolored background with the image of King George VI to the right of the front and Chinese characters in an oval to the left. The back is purple on white with the denomination in all four corners and Chinese characters in the center. The note has the denomination spelled out in the center of the front and the back. This particular note has the serial number J086142 displayed twice in black on the front. The note has one signature displayed on the front in the center of the bottom. It is undated but known to have been issued in 1936. The banknote has no watermark that we could find. Please carefully review the scans presented as they are part and parcel of our description.
