Description:  A beautiful very good or better banknote from France. This is the PS.8=5=1941 twenty francs or Vingt Francs. The banknote has blue design on multicolor underprint. The front depicts a woman and a bearded man behind her, supposedly allegorical representation of science and labor, at  right. The back has a scientist looking through a microscope to the left with a city scene behind him and a trestle bridge at left. This particular note has the serial number 280 and is series G.4050. It is signed by P. Rousseau and R. Favre-Gilly. The banknote has a water mark depicting the head of a woman looking forward in the red framed white area at the top left of center of the front.
