Description: A nice large and heavy bronze medal from 1941. This is the Society of Medalists twenty third issue medal. The medal a mother with her child on the obvers with the words "PRO PATRIA" surrounding the image along the edge. The reverse shows the image of a chained Prometheus with a vulture pecking at his heart with the words "PRO HUMANITATE" surrounding the image and signed on the bottom of the image Joseph E.
