1948 Egypt 25 Piastres National Bank of Egypt Pick Number 10d Signed Leith-Ross Very Fine Banknote
Description: A beautiful very fine banknote from Egypt. This is the Cairo 1st March 1948, very desirable 25 piastres banknote issued by the National Bank of Egypt. The banknote is deep purple in color on multi colored background. It depicts the image of a village on the bank of the Nile with people and camels and showing sail boats anchored at the edge of the water. The back shows a colorful design in dark blue on a pale orange and gray background with the wings of Horus on top and the name of the bank as well as the denomination in the center. The front also indicates that the note was issued according to the decree dated 25th June 1898. This particular note has the serial number 528573 and is from the series L/87, which is displayed twice in black lettering on the front but not on the back. The note has no watermark.
